I think that overly-complicated, exclusive investment opportunities are highly overrated. I don't understand why people think they are so special and cool.

It'd be one thing if they perform better than a simple strategy. But they don't. And even if they did, people should be thinking far more about the hassle/enjoyment, relative to the return.

Hi Michael, your resident psychedelic expert here 🙋🏼‍♀️ (my whole Substack and career is in this field). To answer your question: I’m not a big Ketamine fan. It helps some but similar to conventional mental health treatments, it’s symptom management - you have to keep doing it every few weeks to maintain the benefits (and ketamine unlike all other psychedelics has addictive properties).

Classical psychedelics in the right container on the other hand can be root cause treatments and eliminate the origins of mental health problems — but this process doesn’t just require the journeys but the very intentional integration of them. Of course it depends on your needs and intentions. If you share a bit more about those I could point you to some resources (I also have a resource list for psychedelics on my Substack).

Always happy to chat about it (feel free to DM me too), very passionate about this topic since they completely turned my life around!

What is your % split of your minimalist investment portfolio (between stocks, crypto, fixed income etc) that your blog writes about if you are comfortable to say please?

Thanks

Jared Dillian proposes the awesome portfolio for a more passive long term sleep well at night type portfolio with lower vol Vs just buying the s&p. 20% in equal measures stocks/bonds/real estate/gold/cash. Was surprised by the historical returns. Once a year readjust to bring back to 20% weighted each. Thought was interesting and perhaps something you were trending towards but with slightly different asset classes.
