There are now 57 days left in the year 😳
In October, I moved my entire personal workflow into Notion (where I’m an angel investor). This has started to replace Evernote and Trello for me.
As part of my routine, I plan my weeks out in Notion. I write out my weekly and personal priorities, along with what I want to accomplish that week broken down by day. If you’d like to take a closer look, I’ve included the weekly template below.
I’ve also started to use Notion for our company. It’s our one source of truth about everything: strategies, goals, ideas, etc. If I have to say something a couple of times, it’s documented in our company wiki.
It’s been fun to fluctuate from the nitty-gritty details of designing the website to thinking through high-level of our strategies and foundation we want to build.
As we make our first hires, I’ve been thinking about what culture we want to create and who would excel in that culture. Out of all the attributes I settled on the following:
  • Growth Mindset - believes that basic talents and abilities can be developed over time; challenges themselves to grow.
  • Resourcefulness - finds creative solutions to impossible problems; never has “no solutions”; always looking for leverage - how to do more with less.
  • Integrity - honest with strong moral principles; moral uprightness.
  • Team Player - thinks in the context of We, instead of I; genuine caring about each other’s well being that makes for a strong team.
The acronym fits nicely with GRIT which is also easy to remember. Right now, it’s still me working on the new company but hope to have a couple of the early team members joining soon!
