Issue #4: Being a Good Boss, Eagles of Death Metal Interview, and More!
By Michael Karnjanaprakorn • Issue #4
Moving forward, I was thinking about changing the format for this email. Think of it as a podcast but in a short, bite-sized, weekly email.
“I interview successful people across a wide range of disciplines — entrepreneurs, creatives, and more — to uncover the lessons, routines, and habits that make these people the best at what they do. Then, I share what I learn in an email newsletter.”
Feel free to just email me directly with any feedback on this idea. Thanks!

What I'm Sharing
“There’s a hilarious project that’s popular on GitHub, the website that hosts all kinds of software that programmers want to share with each other.”
What I'm Reading
I’ve read a lot of articles on productivity and this by far was the best list I’ve ever come across. My favorite was #47.
“Kim Scott cut her teeth as a manager at Apple and Google, and now helps create great leaders as an author and coach for companies like Twitter. Here’s the secret that’s made all the difference for her.”
“David Roberts and his wife, Elaine Kuok, couldn’t decide where to live in New York. So they decided to move to a different neighborhood every month for a year.”
“It can be hard to find minority performers for film and television roles, but we can’t keep using white actors in brownface.”
They come from Russia, France—even New Jersey—to end their lives for an ‘Islamic State.’ But a defector reveals that Saddam’s old spies hold all the triggers.
What I'm Watching
“During Eagles of Death Metal’s November 13 show at the Bataclan concert hall in Paris, gunmen entered the venue and opened fire on the crowd, leaving at least 90 dead. The band spoke to VICE about the tragic events that took place that night.”
